  • To tell about our progect-we can say that it consists of a real usual door.
And many little doors within this main door.
These little doors should be used for every part of body.
And when all these doors are being opened - they creat a music sound
    (like a music postcards)
Every door will has special music, photo image and title.

Sub Connection
  • How do we communicate these days?
Do we need to see the world and nature we live in, in order to be the part of the society, or is it enough to pick up the phone or click forward our e-mail?
What is the meaning of the Baltic Sea between us, how does it connect us in today's life?
What happens if the connection fails, if the line becomes dead or the sea starts to malfunction?
"Sub Connection" is about the real physical connection between us.
It's about the water we live from compared to connections marketed for us.
Several intravenous drip bottles filled with the water from all corners of the Baltic Sea dripping slowly to the ground.
On the other side there is a payphone to save us all.

  • My project in Colony will be based on my travelling performance »Dorothy«. This is a month long performance/ research project that takes places on my way from Finland to China (by train) and back. I will start this trip dressed as Dorothy from the old Hollywood film, »The Wizard of Oz«. I will let the possible »development« of this character open and see what happens. The trip will be documented trough photographs, drawings, text, and stitching. The basic idea of this piece is the travelling and transformation, both in physical and in mental ways. What happens when this icon of western (American) culture will be taken to Asia? What will happen to me as a European/Scandinavian/woman/artist when dressing into this character and travelling into another side of the world? As Dorothy in the film, I will be open for coincidental meetings with new people and things. In Colony I will »simulate« this month long trip by using my physical experiences and the documentation.

  • My project will be, a videoinstallation: about this Finnish boy who travels by train to see his best friend in Budapest for the Chritmas eve and he has a Christmas tree with him all the way from Finland to Budapest. It's about friendship and about that, only the ones who are like you, can truly understand you. (Because the boy tries to have contact with others during the journey, but doesn't succeed really until he reaches Budapest and he and his buddy dance drunken around the Christmas tree...)

  • In order to create a shocking effect we are going to place the box on suspension springs and place under it a vibrator. We want to pad the walls and the floor with sponge (of wavy texture, as used in boxes for transporting e.g. computers) and install a sensor activating the vibrator on entering the platform. The idea is to transfer vibrations from the box into the person inside it so that he/she in the hands of a mechanic masseur or in a disturbingly unstable environment. In each case the psycho-physical sphere is to be affected while aesthetic effect is not taken into consideration. We will test the effects of the boxÕs activity combined with other stimulants on ourselves and other volunteers on the spot. As for technical requirements, we need power supply and a box of a quite strong construction.

  • I will bring a music piece to colony happy earth and in connection make a small video projection on one of the T-hŸttes walls. The piece is cooperation between a musician: Thorsten Hauerslev Larsen and myself. So a quiet music piece, one could say that the song is about love and the video projection are just clouds passing through the sky. The projection will be small.

  • between and around one tie i settle the garden.
    - in one part i sow flower seeds...vegetable would be unfit for human consumption. may be it will be to hard for plants grow up in this 'earth', which is full of stones, carbon, trash.
    - second part is plants taken from motor road parkings and replant here. ...or from other places: if people like to bring plants to live here. but think about the conditions: lot of sun and wind, dry and 'bad' earth. they have to be strong in a sense.
    - third i buy cheap 'nice' balcony plants from discounts to let them free.

  • Project German Life For this project, we will need 200 to 300 kg of most various illustrated periodicals (magazines and newspapers) featuring as wide range of topics as possible: industry, agriculture, medicine, science, culture, family life, religion, fashion, sports, crime, leisure, entertainment, food, school, etc. On each of those topics, a large collage will be made using illustrations from the magazines and newspapers. Each collage is to represent a "group portrait" of this or that side of life in Germany. The collages are to be exhibited within Kolonie space.

Picnik glückliche Erde
  • I would like to do an installation where I turn the biggest "room" of the t-house into a kind of happy earth picnic scenario. A photoshop collage showing a grass and blue sky landscape - my plans are that the landscape should be filled with: worldleaders, people of different religions and beliefs, flowers, different minorities, animals, children etc. Everybody just having a good time and being friendly to each other and nature. This collage I would like to print in the size of the two t-house walls and place the print on them. On the floor of the t-house I would like to have some real grass (this could be planted in advance or bought in rolls). The idea is that during colony this should be used as a place where you can sit down in the grass and relax - enjoy the nice and easy surroundings and atmosphere.
  • when colony is going on it would be nice to do a performance(s) here - invite some of the people I meet at the colony to do or collaborate on a "happy picnic" performance of some sort.

  • COLONY means - place in which live emigrants. I take a social point. The start of my idea was a statistical fact, that more tha 300 thousend young educated Lithuanian people left to the another countries to work and to live. This information bring some influence for my self - establishing strategy in COLONY. In a lot of my projects I used investigative methods. I work conducting by series of interview polls, statistical facts. Sometimes my projects seems non-visual. when we are talking about art business=when we are talking about social business

  • Structures are used to generate built up parasiting systems »INSIDES« - containing micro sceneries and society metaphors. The INSIDES are at the same time parallel to existing infrastructures, with totally new meanings, but also connected to them - »on line« - dealing with their specific conditions through adding new rhizome aspects.

In monitors built in inside my installations video-loops is shown as extensions of the system itself. I choose to send our culture back, through electricity. Structures, systems and technology are our tradition, culture, history and future. That´s why I use these vehicles.

It´s about movement. It´s as well becoming a movement in it self. Culture is on the move. Everyone on this planet is an immigrant in some way or one other. Therefore it´s important for me to mix and mutate the various systems to evolve new experiences.
